Snow Lab Undergrad Volunteers present their Research

Undergrads present at Nevada Undergraduate Research Symposium

Each year, UNR undergraduate students compete for university funds to conduct their own research projects under the supervision of a faculty advisor. These highly competitive awards allow the students the opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience working in a lab environment. In the 2018-2019 academic year, we very fortunate in that three undergraduate research assistants from the Snow lab were selected for these awards. On May 6th, the three students presented their work at the annual Nevada Undergraduate Research Symposium on the UNR campus:

  • Student: Kelsey Beattie (Honors Undergraduate Research Award)
Project: The ‘'Real Object Advantage' in recognition cannot be explained by stereoscopic disparity
  • Student: Cayce Kantor (Nevada Undergraduate Research Award)
Project: Examining the developmental trajectory of the 'Real Objects Memory Advantage'
  • Student: Nicole Swoope (Nevada Undergraduate Research Award)
Project: Memory for real objects is better than 3-D images
